CUBA [non]: R Republica 9545 at 0025 in Spanish. Jammed yet readable. Via RMP. 26 Sept.

CUBA: I tuned into several RHC transmissions on 26 Sept. while using the sked published in DX Mix #591 dated 25 Sept. I observed the following but there's still much monitoring to do.

--RHC 5965 at 2210 in Spanish, not French as listed in sked. Moderate. //17660 exc. No Creole at 2230 as per sked.
--French on 17705 instead of Guarani, as per DX Mix. Exc signal. Wonder if this is now beamed to Canada, as previously 17705 in South American languages was difficult to hear.
--R Nac de Venezuela 11670 at 2233 in Spanish, mentions of Chavez.
--R Nac de Venezuela 13680 at 2300 in English. //15250, both strong.
--RHC (?) 17705 at 2300+ in Portuguese. Heard Radio Nacional mentioned. Is this the Venezuela relay but in Portuguese? The RHC prg in Portuguese was audible at the same time on 13760 but not // to 17705. Will have to monitor this tomorrow.

ROMANIA: R Romani Int'l 6115 at 0438 w/prg about wineries. //9515 poor. 9690 and 11895 not audible.

SOUTH AFRICA: R Okapi nightly on 11690. On 21 Dec at 0430 in French. Mx. Fair signal.

CHU on 18 December

CANADA: CHU 3330 at 0525 on 18 December at 0525 w/time, annc about freq change. //7335 under Golos Rossii and //14670. The latter freq is heard here around noon or midnight, if at all.

-----CFRX 6070 at 1828 w/talk show. Good, steady S5.

HAWAII: WWVH 15000 at 1834 w/time under WWV

PIRATE: UNID 6925 USB at 0302 w/Blues in the Night. Barely audible. (7 November)

AUSTRIA: AWR via Moosbrunn at 1911 on 27 Oct. in Hausa. Mention of Adventist Hospital. African mx. Good signal.

CANADA: CFRX 6070 at 1842 on 27 Oct. w/Toronto tfc and CFRB ID. Fair.

GERMANY: VOA in Tigrigna, 1900-1930 on 9485 on 27 Oct. w/good signal. Heavily trilled /r/ unlike Hausa and Arabic.

USA: KVOH 17775.01 at 1726 on 27 Oct. in Spanish w/religion. Good signal but no spurs or distortion.
-----[and probably non] VOA 9815 at 1920 on 27 Oct. in Arabic to Darfur. Poor signal. //9380 fair. ID as Radio Sawa. As EiBi and BiNews aren't updated, I don't have the xtr QTHs.

COSTA RICA: REE relay 3350 at 0340 on 26 Oct. in Spanish. S5 but low audio.

KUWAIT: R Kuwait 11990 at 2050 on 26 Oct. in English. Schmaltzy American tunes. Moderate signal.

USA: KVOH 17775.01 at 2042 on 26 Oct. in Spanish w/mx. Weak. I can't hear spurs or any other problems because of weak signals lately.

USA: WBOH 5919.96 at 2030 on 26 Oct. w/mx. //WTJC 9369.93 with solid S7 but overmodulated (both are). My guess is that they will never be on frequency.

GERMANY: Pan American Broadcasting (t) 15205 at 1410-1430 s/off. Faint. Via NAU 90 deg M-S. This is the first time I've heard PAB. 9 Sept.

RUSSIA: TWR India 12085 at 0120-0130 s/off in Nepali, via Novosibirsk. First time heard. Usually this band has been dead lately but tonight there were so many Asians I couldn't log them all. 10 Sept.

SRI LANKA: SLBC 11905 at 0110 in Hindi. Good signal. Not a regular visitor. 10 Sept.
-----DW relay Trincomalee 12095 at 0055+ w/excellent signal. Not a regular visitor either. 10 Sept.
